There They Lay

There they lay beneath the crosses,

Perished row by row.

They fought for us, but now are frozen

Deep beneath the snow.

In the fields, the soldiers died,

So we could live in peace.

With each hero forever gone,

A thousand guns would cease.

The scorching bullets forced them down,

Leaving their minds forsaken.

A best friend gone, a husband lost,

Regretfully mistaken.

I think this is a great poem you were really into the topic. I liked how you didnt talk about this as a video game but as a real perspective.
